My guess would be to try to build boost with the hood opened and have ureself or someone go under the hood and somehow listen for leaks. That kinda seems hard but Im not sure of any other ways to find boost leaks. I havent had to troubleshoot a boost leak before so its just my best guess. I hope this is correct and helps ya bud.

there was a thread that gave a showed how to build a fitting for the turbo that would alow you to hook a air compressor to it. i havent been able to find that thread yet. from there you add air till it starts leaking. i anyone remember what it was called and does the motor hold the pressure or do you have to close off the other end?

ok little confused there, that guy had the same symtoms as me but he was making it to 25 psi before it droped one guy there made it seem like boost should fall off at 2500 to 2700 rpms if thats the case then it sounds like i should be looking at my vp or injectors for a fueling problem

Falling off at 2700 rpms is the engine defueling. Thats where it is set to defuel from the factory unless modified with a box or downloader.

as far as i know the zxt+ does not raise the defuel point . the new adrenaline box is said to move it up around the 3700 rpm range.

my truck stock with a bad lift pump showed about 18 PSI then when i added the boost elbow i saw about 23 or 24. Now with my Edge COMP on EZ mode (wire not tapped) i am seeing a max of about 30. Im guessing i will see another 5-10 PSI increase when i tap my wire. Most others have told me they can get around 40 PSI on 5x5

ok trying to find boost leak but my system wont hold any pressure??? have the pump hooked up right now but nothing is happining at all, boost gage stays at 0psi, spraying everywhere not seeing any bubbles anywhere???? on the other thread one guy said to plug the intake horn, then another said not to cuz the leak might be in the intake manifold but didnt say to plug anything elce so i assumed the motor would hold the pressure?

Go ahead and plug the intake horn and test it, if it still doesn't hold pressure, then you know you have a leak somewhere between the turbo and intake horn. If it does hold pressure, then you know the leak is after the intake horn. Just a thought.

If ur just using an air tank, it probably won't pressurize. There's way to much room to fill up with just an air tank. Probably need a compressor. I think anyway.
