More hybrid turbo help
First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my last post on this issue. It helped.
Got another question about different possibility. I've got a cracked exhaust turbine housing on an HX40/35 hybrid. I've located a free HX35 12 cm2 housing that's a perfect bolt-up to the HX 40 compressor side, and my Jacobs exhaust brake turn-down. Only issue is that the housing is wastegated, and there's no place to mount the actuator on the compressor side. I don't use a wastegate anyway, I drive by the boost gauge and I don't go over 25-28 lbs boost.
Are there any issues with taking the actuator off, and just closing the wastegate lever on this exhaust housing down with a hook or a spring?
Thanks!

Re:More hybrid turbo help
I think with your combonation of accessories the 12cm may be a bit small for you.. I am assuming that your hybrid was a 16cm or a 14cm.
You could lock the wastegate closed, but on the housing I have the wastegate actuator pot is mounted to the exhaust housing and there was nothing you needed to hook to the compressor side. If you just don't hook up the actuator to the boost sensor line, it will stay closed.

Re:More hybrid turbo help
With that little exhaust housing I think that you will definitely need a wastegate to keep things under control. I do also feel that it will be at least interesting whether the very small housing will even flow enough for the big compressor with the wastegate open. (Remember, all the air you push in must get out some way) -Maybe you should look into the Turbomaster device. It won't take up much space, and can be adjusted to different drive pressures.
I'd love to read on the results of this combo.
