I mounted a temporary one just last week. Had one I used to use on a race car, had some copper tubing and compression fittings. 5 minutes later had it on the truck and drove it down the road.

My fitting had an insert in the plastic tubing, but it was soft brass, so maybe it wasn't strong enough?

Anyway, my present setup works well and I won't have to worry about this for awhile, or so I hope.

hey guys I recently hooked up an Autometer sending unit that is designed to use in the cab it is an oil pressure guage, (because the fuel is oil) it seems to be fine, but what do you guys think? it idle it sits at 15 psi and at WOT it is about 10.5-11 psi, I have a brand new Lift pump, do these reading sound right?

Sounds about right. The sender won't last forever being hit by the pulses from the VP.

Oil pressure senders and gauges work fine with diesel. I'm still using the Autometer 2242 for my Quadzilla Commander....
