more on the bhaf!!
I just wrote about a bhaf and learned where to buy one. Went to price one and they are $pendy at $50 bucks!! I looked at one and they look like they would do a nice job but all of the pictures I've seen on here show that everyone puts plastic over theirs. all of them are blue and the one I looked at was white paper. Is the blue plastic to keep water out because that is my concern is that the bhaf could suck a bunch of water in which is a bad thing. Next, I will be putting it on a 1994 ctd 4x4. It is a farm rig so it sees mud, irrigation floods, mountain expeditions hunting cattle in snow and mud with tire chains and a horse trailer, regular firewood cutting journeys, and lots of dirt roads. So I think I need a water repeller on my bhaf along with a good filter. Is the bhaf cheaper in the long run or am I better off with the stocker?

the colors you are seeing is from outers wear, they make them last much longer. and i would recomend one. try some of your buddies that have comercial accounts where they work, we got them from a friend of mine who picked them up on the commercial account, 26 bucks each.

The Outerwears covers are water repellent, that's why people use them. AFAIK the part # and contact info for Outerwears is in the same FAQ as the BHAF part #'s.
