Re:MoPar's Power Steering Fluid

This is one of the very few places, maybe the only place, where I use the original manufacturers fluid. I change it every year too by siphoning out the reservoir, adding new, cycle the steering wheel a few times and do that again about three times. The main reason I do it is because on mine, the hydraulic pressure for the power brakes comes off the power steering pump. There are no filters or coolers on this system and that fluid will get contaminated and burnt. I'm sure there is a suitable replacement but I have not found one yet.

I use Royal Purple Max-EZ power steering fluid.... eliminates squeels and stuff in the cold, etc... I know some other people on here have other synthetics as well...

http://www.royalpurple.com/mezr/mezr.shtml

Bought it from www.oiltownusa.com -- 6 quarts is 29.95!

Tony
