Mitre Cut Rain Caps

My new truck I am getting on Tuesday has some sweet dual stacks in the bed, dont really know if they are 6 or 7 inches. I was wondering how bad is it to leave them open, will it rust the pipes? I have been looking for rain caps for them however they are not easy to find for mitre cuts. Does anyone have a link or contact info where I can get some(i know they will be expensive, but should be worth it). Thanks guys.

Seems odd and like it wouldn't work, but I've seen two different trucks here locally that have rain caps that hinge to flap open facing forward on miters.

Like, when you get going on the highway they are standing straight up in the wind.

Or you could get some of these.

You have to take them off before starting, but so far I have not forgot and they also are made out of marine grade vinyl, so I can put them on when the stacks are still warm and not worry about them, or at least I have not had a problem with it yet.

Thanks for the link and the suggestions. Now let me get this straight, the caps will open up opposite of normal caps? Will wind pose a serious problem with them? I may just get some covers like those vinyl ones.Would be much cheaper.

Build some if youre handy with some tools. Just a ring down low to secure them, some strap going up to the peak, and a peice of plate cut to shape of the stacks and a homemade hinge, and they will flap in the same direction as regular caps.

I just used folgers plastic coffee tubs. Cheap and I have a bunch of them.

I got sick of the mess the stacks would leave, so I yanked them and threw them in the trash.
I now have a 4" Silverline 304 SS turboback.
Much nicer sounding and I dont look like a hillbilly.
