Mileage Test with MAD ECM
Just did a 1,000 mile test after replacing my stacked EZ with a MAD ECM.
1,035 miles on 62 gallons = 16.7 mpg. FYI...Total mileage now = 67,000 miles.
My last 1000 mile test got 16.3 mpg...but there is more to the story. The recent test included several WOT test runs tuning my external wastegate and 4 passes at a test & tune day at the drag strip.....both of which would obviously hurt the 16.7 mpg result.
My best estimate thus far says the MAD ECM gained .5 mpg. If so, it's the first bomb that ever added mileage in my truck. Any other MAD ECM users tested for mileage?
RJ
PS: Other variables (changes made since earlier mileage test) - External Wastegate added and went to Mach 4's from Mach 2's.

thanks fo the info rowland, I don't drive enough to put any useful information together
I will be taking a roadtrip or 2 soon, most of my driving is with the go pedal close to the floor

I did another mileage test since adding MAD ECM...this one was even better!
1,215 miles on 70.0 gal fuel = 17.36 mpg.
Some of this increase may be warmer weather (we're into spring in OK)...and also I'm a little more aware of how much time I idle, due to fuel prices. But it's still a nice jump in mileage!
Unfortunately, I changed more than just the ECM since my first long distance mileage test, so can't be sure? No racing and only some WOT this time. Find myself daily driving happily with the PM3 on #0 much of the time, since adding the MAD ECM. Still don't know if this accounts for my 1 mpg increase...or is it the new injectors and an external wastegate ....or is it the MAD ECM ???
ANYONE ELSE seeing different mileage since adding a MAD ECM ?

I have only ran 1 tank so far with several "accleration test". So far I am seeing 18.6 MPG compared to an average 17.8. I bet it will get better the more I behave.....
