mileage max?

Anyone ever used the EDGE mileage max on their truck? I have an 02 dodge and was wondering how well they worked? Also how much power does it increase the truck by? They say an increase but I didn't know what the approximate horsepower gains were on it?

I would like to hear about this also. By the way, I believe it adds about 25 hp according to the edge web site.

I'm thinking quadzilla's max mileage, looks like it does the same thing for $100.00 less

I called EDGE products today and this is what I got from them. He said that stage one on the EDGE EZ programmer is actually a fuel savings stage and increases the horsepower by about 25 or so horse. Stage 2 and 3 are performance stages adding 40 horse and 60 horse. The mileage max adds about 30 to 35 horse to the rear wheels and increases fuel mileage. I am guessing what they did is take a basic program and flashed it into the box enabling it to save us fuel and give us about 30 rwhp. This would entail me to believe that its the same as stage one on the EDGE EZ and is more affordable due to it not being adjustable and being a one stage plug in.

The quad box must be mounted inside the cab. The Edge box is weatherproof and mounted under the hood with no wires to run inside the cab.

surely though for $100.00 you could enclose it under the hood with something to make it water proof.

from right here at the DTR store:
http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/20do5maxmimo.html

http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/edmimax20doc.html

read the desciption of both, & compare. I was wrong about the price too, it's not $100.00 cheaper, it's $143.88 cheaper. so you can buy 2 Quads, instead of one edge, & give the second to some good guy for pointing it out to you (hint, hint)

It is not that the enclosure is not weatherproof so much its that we also have a USB port on it and it needs to stay inside. We could have made the case where the USB was sealed up but, then again cost was a factor.

We use the USB port for several things but, you can upgrade for a more than reasonable price to our 65hp box at a later date if you want. That is something Edge does not offer.

Our mileage box is also adjustable in that you can turn it on and off.

Other than where you stick the module, they install exactly the same. Its not like the box is very big, about like a pack of cigarettes.

I just installed the edge mileage max, it sure picked up the response and power when pulling. As far as mileage it is too hard to tell right now at -34C. I must add that when running empty at 100 km running down the same hghway with a slight side wind. The overhead marks about 1 MPG better than without max plugged in,

So you're saying... If I put the quadzilla on my truck, and it din't give satisfactory fuel mileage gains, I could return it for full refund?
