micro tuner 3705
When I got my tuner I set it at Perf-Tow. Didn't turn it all the way up cause i don't have gauges yet. Just for the heck of it I pulled codes and got a (P 0602) ECM fuel calibration error. Fuel milage increased about .3 mpg. I did a little experiment and reset the truck to stock and the code went away. I turned the truck back up and the code (P 0602) came back. Also turned the truck all the way to Hi-Perf and didn't think it was running as powerful as it should for a 140 lbs of torque gain (also got the P 0602 code). Right now I've got the truck set back to stock with no code showing.
I guess my question are, would it be possible that I have an errant ECM that 1. wont let the tuner do its thing properly?
2. or possibly I got a bad tuner?
3. what does this code actually mean and does
hurt anything?
Any help would be appreciated.

i just looked at my 3705 book and that code says ECM fueling error. i know when i put the program in it made a significant improvement. i didnt run the codes tho, guess i was just too happy to get the tuner in it. i almost doubled in fuel mileage also. so i dont know what could be wrong with yours. i will run my codes tomorrow if i get time and see what it says tho. maybe you did get a bad tuner, i would call them in the morning.

Talked to Microchip this morning and told them of the P 0602 code I was pulling after I turned up my truck in which the tech replied "ECM fuel calibration error". I asked him if this was a known problem? He said yes and told me to box up my unit and send it to them, not telling me why or what they were going to do with it. So I guess they are either going to recalibrate it or send me a new one. I'll find out more tomorrow if I can.

Just an update. Talked to Superchips again today they told me that they were aware of this problem in some of their tuners. I sent mine off for them to do an update on. The tech assured me that when I got the tuner back I would be able to tell the difference.

Called Superchips today, tech told me there was a known problem with some of the tuners. I shipped mine today so they could upgrade it. The tech said when I got it back I would be able to tell the difference.
