You need head work to run Methanol. It causes too much cylinder pressure and will pop any stock head gasket with enough time and or abuse. Just a little H20 can be sprayed to cool egt's without head work for a while, but eventually it too will cause head gasket failure.

are you sure? on another thread I read no one has had head gasket problems with meth/h20.

if so, can you run a set of studs with the stock gasket?

bnold and BCSCUMMINS have both blown headgaskets while running water/meth. bnold had studs on a stock gasket and BCSCUMMINS was on stock head bolts and stock head gasket.

my friend blew his with -20 ww fluid+ stock HG

I have a stage 3 snow and egt claims are 100%. however you will most likely only gain 40hp or so.

I gained 42rwhp on the dyno with my Snow Stage 2 (220psi pump).
No problems with stock head gasket but it wasn't as much of a gain in HP or EGT drop as I had hoped for.

I was informed 49/51 is as much methanol/water I should put through it.

Sort of wish I put that $500 towards my turbo fund instead now.

Yep I blew a HG running water meth and twins at around 60 psi...

Tests pulling a load have shown reduced EGTs of up to 250*!! Huge!!
The extra power is noticable even with only a 20% waser fluid mixture.

Wouldn't recommend Water/Meth for somebody that wants a huge seat o pants hit, mainly towards those that tow or have trouble keeping EGTs in check... With Smarty, TST, 150HP injectors maxed with the water/meth (50/50) I can't get over 1350*

One had 20% mix of meth and the other was 50%. One was at 60psi and the other was at 50psi.

I can tell you that water injection has really cooled my temps. I used to be at 1650-1700 on a street burnout, yesterday at the track I was only at 1550 at the end of the quarter. I only run straight water, too many people have told me not to run meth on a 12 valve that is timed pretty high.

I think strait water you should be ok and it will cool. I ran a 50/50 mix 3 weeks 50pis and w/m was more than the stock HG could bear.

40-50 HP is about it in a 2nd gen 24v. Does cool EGT's also....or at least slows rate of climb, depending on how your using it.

I have a snow stage III. I only used it for a few days before the controller took a nose dive on me though. I was at about 40-45 psi on a stock HG and bolts. It seemed to keep it pretty cool but cant tell you to much or dyno #'s(it took a crap the night before I went to the dyno) I ran 1/2 washer fluid and 1/2 water.
