mkubacak et al who don't like the straight pipes


If you want to hear a great sounding straight pipe do a couple of things:
1. make sure it's a 4 inch from turbo back w/o the resinator and the muffler
2. make sure its got more than just a straight pipe (ie. comp box, afe etc.)
3. If you're still not happy, give me a call and we'll let you ride on the bumper to listen to a real truck.

Straight pipe is the only way to go. Mufflers, are for gassers! If the neighbors don't like it....tell them to move! For instance, my neighbor w/ a durasmack straightpiped his a month after I moved in and now the entire neighborhood is over the ordeal.

A straightpiped CTD is like the smell of rain, the beautiful sunset, and a pretty lady all rolled into one!

I had straight pipe with the stock exhaust and it sounded raspy. I have since installed the MBRP 4" stainless exhaust sans muffler and it sounds great. Is it still raspy? A little. Does the wife think it's too loud? Yes she does.

But it's my truck and that's the way I like it.
