MBRP or el cheapo 5 inch exhaust?

Whats the difference between MBRP and the cheapest 5 inch setups? I want something that has a good deep sound to it.

don't know about sound but the mrbp on my wifes '03 was one of the easiest installations ever ...

1 hour from start to hanging the tools back up ... PERFECT fit

I have been involved with two 5" MBRP systems. Both kits had incorrect parts in it. The first kit was mine and I was able to make it work but a friend that also had problems wasn't so lucky. MBRP said they would send the correct parts immediately through UPS, they never showed up.

I am not sure if I would buy their system again for a pickup. I have their snowmobile exhaust on two sleds and they work good though.

I have installed several exhaust systems for my freinds and family, the MBRP fit like a glove, everytime. Some of the others?????Well you get what you pay for.

I straight piped mine so I can't say in personal experience. But looking at different kits before my muffler/resonator delete I saw some CHEAP stuff. Like $290 or something, but was skeptical on the quality, the installation, as in will I have to run 30 minutes into town to try and find part "X" to make it work. The mbrp just looked better to and I have read about a lot of happy customers here. Like Mcmopar said, "you get what you pay for". Which is mostly true.....unless your talking about new Cadillacs....

I am dealing with this exact issue right now. I hope my stuff shows up.

I had the same problem with a grandrock kit, first they sent the wrong kit entirely!! After a month of waiting again, they sent the right kit but without an essential piece of pipe,I had to make something and buy a few clamps on top of it as well.It wasnt cheap to begin with, exhaust is nice though, but Ill never deal with them again.Id get one of rip rooks systems if I was doing an exhaust again, nothing bad to hear about that guy
