Mayby 3 stupid questions but I want to know
Hi everybody, although I am new to these forums I am driving my 99 now for 40.000 miles and I have the following questions.
1. I am certain that I have been driving my 24V with a broken LP for more then 30000 miles. It is thanks to these forums that I found out that I had never hear the pump running when crancking it. I ordered a 4601 from summit and I must say that I do feel a little difference. (the EDGE EZ and 275's did...) I called bosch here in europe and they tell me that the only reason the pumps in the states are breaking is because of bad diesel fuel. Also he told me that here in marine aplications they use that pump as lift pump at the same time. Is this possible?
2. I am wondering, with twin turbo's, there is always one blowing in the other one. Why not use 3 cilinders for the first and 3 for the second and use 2 chargers with the same specs, would this not be more efficient?
3. I am working with a friend of mine on a marine conversion for in a raceboat. We have a cracked 53 wich I bought of ebay and several 160 HP VE pump 1 gen engines. Could I combine the lower of the 1st gen with the 24 valve head and VP pump?
Thanks,
Raf

Just fix the 53 block with lock n stitch method.
Twins are ran together for a reaon to "compound" the boost.
You can run the other way also 3 and 3 but it sort of pointless.

If the VP is gravity fed it would be okay. To bad I can't run a 30 gal tank on top of the cab!
