Max Mileage Module

Is there any more info on this module? Don't see it on the Q'zilla site. Wondering what's involved in the install. Does it require a pump wire tap? Can it work with my Commander? Has anyone here used it and does it work as advertised? Will there be a lesser increase in mpg with the HO?

Enquiring minds want to know.

I just ordered one online, I will let you know in a few days.

I am getting a solid 19-20 mpg now so this should get me around 22 if it works as advertised.

The Max Mileage Module is a simple plug and play module aimed directly at
increasing engine efficiency and fuel mileage. This Max Mileage Module is so
amazing that we are offering it with a 90 day customer satisfaction guarantee!
You can expect to see gains of 8% - 12% in fuel economy with less than 10
minutes worth of work. In testing, many customers saw even better increases in
mileage than claimed. The Max Mileage Module can completely pay for itself in as
little as 4,000 miles.

Just because this is an economy based product does not mean we left out the
important industry leading features only found on more expensive Quadzilla
products. Included with the Max Mileage Module is a fully functional USB port for
future updates or upgrades. We also include a switch for on the fly ON/OFF
adjustments.

The Max Mileage Module will not put your engine or your powertrain at any risk.
This product actually LOWERS exhaust gas temperatures. This product does not
raise boost over stock levels and does not add any fuel to your engine. Because of
the way this increased efficiency works, you will gain noticeable performance while
empty or when towing. These performance gains do not affect the transmission
under any circumstance.

In the event you ever want to continue upgrading your truck or performance there
is no need to look any further than the Quadzilla website once you have the Max
Mileage Module. A simple 15 second upgrade can turn this incredible module into
our XZT (03-07) or XZT+ (98-02) performance module and you will only pay a
nominal upgrade fee.

We know you are committed to gaining fuel mileage and that
is why every XZT or XZT+ has this same incredible mileage setting for you to
choose anytime you are looking to save money. Now, when you need extra torque,
towing power, or just want to put a grin on your face, you simply flip the switch and
you will have tire burning torque at your disposal! The XZT or XZT+ will give you 3
settings to choose from: Off-Mileage-70HP. There are also numerous FREE
downloads available on the Quadzilla USB Update site for the XZT or XZT+ for you
to play with.

I'm getting ~ 20 - 21 now. The new Silverado uses some cylinder cutout technology (anyone remember the old 8-6-4?) to get an EPA rating of 22 - 23 highway. I'd like to be able to get there with a heavier truck that can tow a LOT more than a 5.3L gasser. I was just wondering what's involved in the installation. I don't see any info on the Q'zilla site and that blurb you pasted off the intro page really doesn't tell you a lot. And I'm wondering if it's just a plug in or do you have to tap wires, etc. Does it require you to tap the pump wires? Need more info on this thing.

My understanding is that it's just a plug and play just like the XZT+. Think of it of a XZT+ jr. No tapping of wires necessary...or even possible. It should plug into your map sensor (I think) and your data port under the hood.

I have yet to see a new pickup, or even most cars hit its actual EPA rated fuel mileage. I doubt those new GM trucks get 22-23mpg.

I know a guy with a Honda Ridgeline (assuming that's a pickup, but I digress) who regularly beats the 21 mpg 'rating' that Honda quotes. It does happen. I had a car I bought new several years back that beat that rating.

But I doubt the new GM's do because they use a 'gimmick' to get there and then assume people will drive it in such a manner as to take advantage of it. Folks rarely do.

The Max Milage Module is a little plastic box that mounts under the dash. The harness plugs into the map sensor and the data-link connector. There is no tapping of the pump wire. It has an on/off toggle switch. It installs in about 10-15 minutes.

I have the XZT+ module which is the same as the Max Milage Module, but I have a third setting which adds timing and fuel. I netted a 1.6 MPG increase on the milage setting, but I only did a short test. Thye dealer had my truck for a couple of weeks (that I could have been checking milage) and after that I was towing on the level three setting.

If all you want is a milage increase, I highly recommend it (especially for the price). If you're looking for a nice shot in the pants, I suggest the XZT+.

Keep in mind, the Max Milage Module can be upgraded to an XZT+ at any later date with a simple download off your PC (+ a nominal fee).

The XZT+ was already tested and proven. The Max Milage Module is basically an XZT+ with the level three program removed, so there was no need to test it before marketing it.

I did not "feel" a power increase on the milage setting. I did however have a grin from ear-to-ear with the XZT+ on level three .
