On 5x5 and wound out in top gear, I can hit 34 - 35 psi.....it will hit 32 psi quickly.

I could only hit 29 until I installed DD II's. Then I could get up to 34. I would bet that your elevation is killing you.

Good question.....I'm not sure.....Since yours is an auto, it is rated at 215 hp stock, where as the 5 spd is 235hp......maybe that is the difference? Can you verify that your wastegate is 100% closed? You are using the supplied boost elbow, right? Since both the 215 hp and 235 hp engines make their peak hp at exactly the same boost and are both gated to 20 psi, I would think the Comp should give similar boost increases between the two. IMO, 28 psi is a bit low.....that is absolute peak boost? Do you know anyone with another Comp you could plug in? Also, check to make sure the pump wire tap has a good connection......if it were stuck in EZ mode, 28 psi would be about right.

Excellent point!! I didn't even clue into his elevation......that could definitely explain the difference in boost.

Yup...Evelation!

I can hit 51 psi at 650'.....In Colorado Springs...on a 75* day I could only pull 40 psi boost.

Also, if your tranny is stock....it's surely slipping at 5x5 on the comp at heavy throttle.

EZ mode is when the Grey wire from the Comp isn't connected to the injection pump wire.

Thanks MLR1, but I know what the ez mode is.
The wire is tapped, but CTD NUT you said it might not be completely tapped or stuck in ez mode? How would I check that?

To check the tap and make sure you are making a good connection. Make sure the Comp is off, turn the ignition on (but do not start), then use a volt meeter to verify you have 12 volts on the Grey wire. As for being stuck in EZ mode, I don't have a clue on that one .

If the box is off, why would there be 12 volts going to the pump wire by way of the box (gray wire)?

When the key is in the on position the pump wire will show 12 volts. If you have a good tap on the pump wire the same 12 volts will show on the Grey wire that is connected to it. The voltage comes from the truck not the chip. Once you start the engine then the voltage readings will be all over the place depending on RPM, fuel requirements, ECM programing etc. Then when the chip is turned on it will start manipulating the voltage as well. I hope that makes some sense.
