marine cam?
Any one run a marine came in their 12 valve truck. looking to up grade the cam in my truck. Where did you get the cam from and how much? did it help any? I heard that they were made to peak at a higher rpm around 3800 or so. labor cost is not a problem as i have some spare time and have to tab the kdp, and the ported head will be going in at the same time. any help on this would really help. thanks.

BTW: On the 6bta marine either 330 or 370 hp...cruise rpm is 22-2400 and max it at about 2800 rpm. They can be turned up though, I have done more than a few but marine engines are MUCH more sensative to tuning.

Did it make any diff in perfomance, or was it a waste of time? I am not looking for a big change $650 type just a little more range in rpm. as for the rpm range I might have misunder stood my source. Any one else try this cam?

Then my advice to you would be to leave your stock cam in place. The marine cam will make your truck run ...not so hot(remember MIN-Max meaning power or no power, there is little in between)! Use the serch button in the 12v forums here, on the tdr, and nwbombers ...you might find some info there but not sure. The tdr and dtr definenatly.
