MAP sensor modification
how can i put in a resistor on the map sensor to make it see max boost all the time. does the resister plug into the signal wire of the map and what kind of resistor do i need. at 18 psi the signal voltage is 2.27volts

Well you might try to hook up an ohmeter to the map sensor and find out what the resistance reading is at max boost. Other than that information on the specs for these sensors can be hard to find.

You can bend the diaphram inside while checking it with a dvom, but you might not want to do it at all, if you do don't go the full 2.27v wouldn't go past .9 or so.

What about a diode? On the FWD Mopars, we used to use a diode to cut off the signal. We cut crank up the turbo, ECM nevers goes overboost. Haven't looked into with diesels but an idea. Oh a diode, when hooked up right, will "act as a .7 volt regulator. Voltage wont go above that. Might be eaiser than messing with those resistance thingys.
