I just pull the grounds and wedge them somewhere...keeps the batts out of the loop.

ya....should i tape the factory map connector or what?....sorry if i sound stupid...ive just always used programmers....

i think i found the map....do i just disconnect it and put the ts in between the stock connections?....still having trouble finding hte CAN....

On my 2001 it is just below and behind the map in the wiring harness

crawl up in there it is a pita to even see

On my 2001 the CAN bus was on the LP bracket. The MAP sensor is high on the block on the driver's side. Usually the box goes between the MAP sensor and the harness...so you unplug the harness from the MAP...plug in the box...plug the harness into the MAP connector on the box. Then plug the box into the CAN.

the map is easy right? if its what i think it is, you can see it just looking down on the motor just under the intake manifold? right behind the filter housing?

cstroup, do you think you could run out and take a pic of where your harness goes? this thing is making me mad....i have to run a few errands but ill be back shortly and i hope ya'll have some responses for me thanks alot guys!

Mine was just hanging there
on dads it was fastened to the bracket and harder to see
also a picture of the adjust **** and 4 gauge pillar

The red is pointing to the CAN the map is upper left corner

The fist picture he put up was of the map sensor, yours will have different style plugs cause yours is and 02 and his is an 01. Deff disconnect your battery, or you will throw a CEL. Dont tape your map plug, your new box is going to splice in between the factory connection. YOu will plug one end of your wiring harness that came with your box into the block, then the other end of the box wiring harness will plug into the stock wiring harness. Do not leave any of the map senosr connectors unplugged.

ya it said it was supposed to include some grease but mine didnt.....sweet switch location by the way.....havent decided what i want to do with mine yet....so could the can actually be fastened to the lift pump bracket? havent started lookin again cuz i got mad haha

my ma sensor has the red locking plug things on them havent tried to undo it yet .....dont want to untill i find this darn CAN haha
