Manual switch for LP in cold weather

Manual switch for LP in cold weather
I have noticed that my fuel pressure is sluggish in colder weather. I have my lift pump relocated and run off of a relay. Would there be any value in having a manual switch so that I could run the LP for a while in cold weather? Would this let me get the fuel pressure up and stable prior to cranking? It would sure make priming after a fuel filter change easy.

i have my holley on a switch, not on porpose though,i ran out of time installing the holley and just hooked the power to it from a switch i had for lights,i turn it on before i start it and get the fuel presure to 5psi then crank her over, mite help in cold weather, mite not,i dont notice any difernce.

I also have noticed the condition you describe, and have determined that is a result of the grid heaters being on for the first few minutes when its cold out. They pull massive current and drop the system voltage substantially. When the voltage is taking that kind of a hit, the lift pump slows down a great deal, lowering your pressure. So, a switch will not help the cause.
I wouldnt worry about it at all, remeber when you first start the truck in the cold weather that VP44 is cold too. Its not like it heats up instantly and needs tons of bypass fuel to cool it. By the time the VP is getting warm, so is the rest of the engine so the grid heaters are long off and your pressure is back up.
