Making a 4" straight pipe

Can I just run a straight pipe all the way back? I am worried about it clearing the rear wheels. The factory has a bend in it, but Im sure if I hung it right I could run it straight all the way back, I really dont want to have to get some pipe bent. Anyone ever done this?

A guy from work actually used just a strait piece of pipe. the only problem is it makes the tail pipe look akward coming from high under the bed.

Might be beating a dead horse but....

Crawled underneath the truck and did some measuring today. From the turbo to the Cat is 3", after the cat its 4" to the muffler, then after the muffler its back down to the 3". Should I take out everything? Not worried so much about johnny law as I am performance...

What I did was pull everything from the cat back off, and put on a 4" pipe straight back to the axle, with a 30* elbow to come out the side very near the original exhaust exit. Cleared everything fine. You will need a 4" to 4" connector fitting. I think I bought 6' of pipe. You could get a 4" in and out muffler or resonator if you're concerned about noise, but it's not nearly as bad as a gasser with glasspacks.
Had it that way for about a year, then got my 4" downpipe, and hooked it right in. I should have my stacks done soon.

Well I did it. I got some 3" Stainless Steel pipe from work. Cut out everything and stuck that bad boy in. I LOVE IT. Best thing I have done to the truck by far. The cabin drone isnt bad at all. Sounds like a big rig.
