My buddies dad just bought a 24 valve auto with a comp w/wire tapped. It doesent smoke hardly any at all. What does it do if you unplug the MAP sensor? Will it smoke more? Im guessing it will also lose sme power though? It would just be something for us to play with The MAP sensor is towards the back of the motor right? Can you hurt anything by unplugging it, or the other connector? Thanks
Eric

From what I understand...
You need a chip box first before you can unplug the MAP sensor... Other than that it will throw a code and de-fuel the engine anyways...
So just unpluging the MAP sensor on a stock setup won't do much...

With a COMP box you unplug the MAP sensor and it will start fueling at 0psi in which will throw alot of smoke out when stomping on it.

it throws a code but it dosn't hurt anything. just dumps fuel in at the start instead of when boost is built. it will smoke more with bigger injectors. and when its cold, it dumps to much fuel into the motor and makes it run like crap. However when it is warm, it is more responsive.
