make a 12 valve sound like a 24 valve

What exhaust will make a 12 valve sound like a 24 valve? I love my 12 valve but kinda miss the sound of my 24 valve.

No exhaust will accomplish that. The sound of the 24V comes from valve chatter(double the valves) and the VP-44. Even though the VP is a much smaller pump than the p7100, it is twice as loud. Some people run 24v heads on 12v engines however most dont see much of a performance difference. Maybe someone else will chime in on some ideas.

I knew that most of the sound came from the pump. Didn't know about the valves makes since though. I was just wondering if any would give that rumble.

you could bump up the timing to make more valve clatter, my brothers is set at 18 and his sounds pretty close to a 24v IMO

come on, 24vs have some umph behind them its just really expensive to build them, so less people have them built compared to 12v guys, we cant go in with a screw driving and a hack saw and come out with more hp. well not until we put a p-pump on, coming soon.

My '95 12v is a slouch compared to my '01 24v. I could put the 12v on a trailer behind my 24v and still outrun it. I would be happy if it just ran "as good" as my 24v. I need some pump work I guess.
