Mack Rack Plug

Can you put the plug in with the pump on the truck?

I have heard on here that there is not enough clearance to pull the stock plug all the way out, however I have never tried it personally. Hopefully someone will chime in with first hand experience.

I have asked this question and was told basically yes. You have to relieve the plug a little or the gear cover a little.

I have done it more than once and what I found is that the only way you can get them to thread out and back in is by loosening the mounting bolts and pulling the loose and then you will have room to do the swap. maybe other ways but just found that to be easier.
