Mach1.6 Injectors...

Who is running mach 1.6 injectors and a small box for towing? How do you like it? What hp and tq do you estimate that you're making? Thanks Bunyan

Don M's 1.6s and a smarty. Truck now feels like a race car. Have not hitched up the 10k toyhauler yet to give a towing evaluation.

We run Mach 1.2's and a Smarty with a BHAF and tow the gooseneck and dyno. Makes 340hp and tows great cant pull the long step grades in West Virgina with full power in 6th gear EGT's start to creep up.

Mach 1.6's and a Smarty is a great towing set up! Honest 350 hp set up and no EGT problems around Texas!
I have several friends with that setup and all love it! Your EZ will do equally well and should make close to same HP, IMO.

Mach's are the way to go! Don't talk yourself into cutting costs on injectors... unless it's necessary. If your mostly under 10,000 lbs towing, the Mach 4's would be spectacular.

My thoughts also. Oh, and if you think the 1.6s make a truck feel like a race car, then you'd enjoy M4s even more.

I've yet to run into a single EGT issue with M4s and the stock charger simply because I can never stay into it long enough for things to get hot-- I either run out of room or I hit the speed limit.

I'm sure I could warm things up pretty well if I towed, though.

Well all great replies. This is what I was hoping for. I would love the mach 4s, but I tow heavy to much. If only I could have both race truck and work truck. I guess we all would like that. Thanks guys, you made my day. Now I need to come up with the dough. Ron

ok im interested in this too. trucks in the shop getting the trany done, im getting the adrenalin with the pulce and was thinking the 1.6s too. im mostly thinking milage and egts but id like as much power as i can get without compromizing those. i do tow heavy too. think im gona get the banks elbow with a 4" exhost to open it up alittle. should i stay with the 1.6s or can the 4s work for me? i was already a little worried about egts with the 1.6s

I wouldn't tow heavy up El Cajon or the Grapevine with Mach 4's. Especially with a stock turbo and Adrenaline!

1.6s are your best bet towing heavy. my 5er tips in at 17k and I top el cajon pass at 62 mph. I still have more power but if i go over 32 psi the EGTs climb over 1300. this is on an 01 HO stock hx 35

Definately would be, but.........
I'm probably just 'old school' but I don't want my CTD deciding when to defuel and leave me with no more power! Sure it's great insurance and lets you not have to drive by the EGT guage.... and I'm sure it has it's advantages. But I can also imagine forgetting it's set for 1200* and trying to pass or avoid something and having no power!

'Rebal' - Great hard data... and impressive numbers! That climb over El Cajon Pass is the best test bed for 'add ons' this flat lander has ever seen! Over 20 miles of non stop UP with no breaks... most of it is what, 6% + grade?

most of it is 6%+ I do believe there is a short 7% on the south bound side.
I know It would go faster with a better turbo because I can mash it and it still pulls harder . but 2 things stop me #1 wife says "I don't need anymore power , you pass everything as it is"
#2 I am torn about the next turbo upgrade, the little hx 35 spools so nice .and i hear others complain about there swaps

maybe ...I should pray for twins?
