Piers is partially correct. You do pick up 50 HP without the box turned on. Once you turn the box on...you are back in line with any other Standard pump.

The P pump conversions wont find the Mach 6 an optimum injector, but it will work.

There are plenty of people running a 6 without a box daily.

Ok, here a loaded question how do you get more power out of this thing without going NOS or methanol route? I'm probably gonna kick myself for not buying stuff to go to 4K as I plan on run the drag strip here in Calgary. I've been told that theirs a guy here running a Powder puff on NOS running low 12's here. I like to give him a run without the drugs. I know that everybody doesn't give away all their secerts but I'm about 2000 miles north of just about everybody except the polar bears. I really don't like the P pump idea but Piers is trying hard for me to buy one of his 12v engines. The track here is about 3000 ft.

165. It operates normally for the most part. It warms up from 140 to 165 after a few mile of driving, so I know the needle movements reflect the operating condition. I'm thinking the water temp sensor may be off? Oh well. As long as I have movement, I'm happy.

Mike,

I'd say you and Don M need to get on the phone together. I know he has the stuff to get you there without drugs. There are guys cutting into the high 11's, but I don't know if it is drug free, I think it its.

The funny thing is from what I have seen, you would not be smoking the track out with the F1 injectors either.

Mike everyone I know who tried larger tubes and lines on a 24v has taken them back off. They did not gain power and lost drivability. They will stall and cut off when decellerating or idling hot. Give me a call you still have a lot of power that you can tune out of my old 6s. Tim

You're the best Tim, I have to beat your 636rwhp dyno run Nan I just want to smoke the ford. I can lose to an another dodge but a ford, forget it. Does any body know if an o-ringed head will stay sealed if you run NOS and use the 3b/40 twins, with the mach 6'ers? Piers told me to fire ring and use 14 mm studs for NOS. Is this correct? A bit too exotic and kinda puts a stop running the stuff. Piers just wants me to buy him out at PDR, I think.

Opie may chime in here about running NOS on a oringed head. I believe he's been very successful over the last few years. The biggest thing is head and block prep.

Mike, I will let you know about what it takes to hold the head on. I am having a ported o ringed new head put together right now. I still plan to compete mainly on diesel only classes but am gonna spray the mess out of it in certain events. I am gonna run just the little arp 12mm studs and see what happens. I hear alot of people say you need the 14s but the same people say my stock head gasket should have blown 2 years ago with my twins. Most of these people are my friends we just agree to disagree on some items. Anyways testing will tell the truth if it blows we will know Im wrong. One thing for sure ensure your head is as flat as humanly possible and the surfaces are spotless before you start. Tim

Which nos system are you planning to use buddy?

My head has been decked 10" and o-ringed, so I have to get a custom made head gasket to put my valves out of reach of my pistons. I've been told to buy a 10" thicker 12v head gasket and have it cut to fit a 24v head. If I blow a few head gaskets, I probably go that route of the 14mm head studs. For a truck with a stock head and cam, you sure made some big numbers. Hopefully I can come close to the what your truck has done. I call later next week and see how the weather is buddy We're still pushing snow off our driveways here in Cow town.

Sorry Brandon,

Opie has been in a time machine doing overtime and in the machine shop, who knows just maybe there will be some cool things for him just around the corner. When it comes to NOS until I exceed 886 hp"Jetpilot" is the guy to ask. I was only able to make 750 with my old VP.

Sweet! This is quite an old thread. I wasn't sure at the time if Doug was running orings or not. There's some interesting things over here too. Will we meet at Muncie this year?

Yes sir. Although I went old school for my truck this year -- a 98 12valve. We're arriving sometime on Thursday night. There's more info in the events section. I can't wait!

Opie, what kinda of power numbers does your truck pull on just #2 fuel? I've talked to Stephen at DTT, he has mentioned that your spool-up on your twins is pretty fast after installation of your mad ecm. I like to hear your thoughts first hand before I purchase the ecm thingy. What do you think of your DTT tranny?
