Mach 5's with a silver 62?
will mach 5s get to hot with a silver 62 charger? I am going to be running a ported CR head with a custom side inlet intake manifold, and a cam. thanks

I plan on trying either Mach 4.5's or 5's with a HTT Super Stock 62 when the funds become avaliable. If he ported the stock 24 valve head I think he would be good, wouldn't have to spend that money on another head. A cam will make a HUGE difference on any truck when it comes to flowing air better and spooling the turbo faster.

sorry came from another site forgot to fill out the sig, I have a built transmission with a suncoast converter and all the billet goodies except for the intermediate shaft. I am getting a good deal on the head thats why i am going with it. Anybody running these injectors with a 62? what kind of power are they making. Thanks for all the replies.

always planned on 4's but I was just recently thinking about 5's. just don't hear much about them. i don't want a bigger turbo because i want to eventually run twins and want the silver 62 for the top.

How soon are you planning to get the cam? Typically what everyone says if you have enough air to feed the Mach 4's you can probably run 6's. The 5's seen to be a good injector, just like the Mach 4's.

MikeD is currently running Mach 6's with a HTT 64/65/12. He just bought another turbo to replace it, HTT 64/71/14. He is also running his stock cam. A performance cam like the Helix 2 is going to make a world of difference on any truck, I remember reading some old post about a member making some pretty good horsepower on a HX35

wow, i would imagine things were getting toasty at the top end, can't even imagine what color the hx35 turned. i geuss it also depends what performance box you put behind it, i know marco was running 6's with a pdr 40 and just a smarty. I'm not sure if I am going to stick with the comp/smarty or eventually go with the adrenaline. i don't want to have to worry about egt's (too much) everytime I want to have some fun.

He is just daily driving it right now, no racing yet until he gets the 64/71/14 back. The Adrenaline seems to be a decent box for the fact you can turn 4k with it. I personally like the Smarty better so I decided to get a TST PM3 Comp.

Billvo over on TDR is, or was running a Silver62 with BD 155hp injectors and a module, pretty sure it was a Drag Comp. He liked the turbo, but said it was kinda lazy to spool up and didn't think it would to to good towing. He did say though, that once it lit, it was unreal I'd say a Mach 5 or 6 should be pretty good with that turbo. I think I'd go 6's, especially if you wanna go with twins eventually, and just keep an eye on egt's till then.
