mach 2 injectors

mach 2 injectors
Allright so I have decided that I want some formula one mach 2 injectors. I have a couple questions
first can i buy them anywhere without a core charge becouse I would like to keep my stock ones just incase
second how would these be for mileage compared to a mach 1.6, about the same or worse becouse if there much worse maybe I should get mach 1.6's instead
third do I need to get any special tools to change injectors
thanks, Frank

I think any mileage difference between the two would be attributable to driving style. Some drivers (like me) can get good mileage with M4s. Some can't get good mileage with 1.6s. Keep in mind that truck variance counts at least as much as driver variance, imo.
I'm personally of the mind that when in doubt between two similarly sized injectors, one should always choose the larger of the two.

My greatest mileage came from M2's and stock turbo. When i changed to the 64/14 my mileage went to heck! LOL Of course, if i wanted mileage I would have changed to a smaller turbo by now and NOT have went with the M4's.

You could just pay the core charge and keep your stock injectors.
try; http://www.sourceautomotive.biz/
OR, you could send in your high mileage stock injectors as cores and eBay a set of lower mileage stockers.
No special tools required- just 8/10/13/15mm sockets and a 19mm combo wrench.
You do realize the Mach 2's and the EZ are going to kill your auto trans?

I depends on how you want to drive. If you want to be able to set the cruise and forget it and you tow heavy, then you need to go smaller.
If you tow lighter (<10K) and don't want to watch the pyro all the time, then you can go bigger.
Or, you can tow heavy if you don't mind watching the guage closely.
Or, if you don't mind watching the guage like a hawk, you can go huge.
I have M4S and a stock turbo. I don't have to watch the guage constantly at all. Even in thin air, I can't stay into it long enough to sustain dangerous egts-- I would be speeding even in TX
Towing would be another story. I'd have to make sure I didn't use too much power.

thanks for the replies good to know I dont need special tools,
Roadranger I know this could easily kill my stock auto, but I dont know how stock it is, I know its been rebuilt before I bought the truck I just dont know what was done to it.
If i kill it Ill buy a built one and if I dont guess it is built.
