OK Mopar, bring us up to date on the steps. Difficulty installing them? Mine are waiting for the truck to arrive. Truck should be at the dealer within 10 days.

Re:MAAP Challenger Tube Steps

Easy to install, only took about 20 minutes and everything fit good. Wouldn't mind seeing a little less flex in the brakets and mounts but they are pretty good, i just like over kill

Re:MAAP Challenger Tube Steps

I attached a turn buckle to each mounting bracket and attached the othe end to an already existing hole in the rocker panel. This added good support and keeps any vibration down.

Fiwiki

Re:MAAP Challenger Tube Steps

Your mounting is totaly different from mine that i just put on. I can see where that would give you alot of flex mounting to the rubber mounts. The mounts I got bolt to existing holes in the back of the rocker and to the bottom of the floor. Their are 2 bolts in the back mount and 3 in the front. Looks like they made a change for the gen 3 bodies, and for the good from what I see.

Re:MAAP Challenger Tube Steps

yeah, mounting to the rubber made them them rattle against the rocker panels when you went through a lot of mud, plus there is no vertical adustment which makes them sit close in. does the mounting on the '03 allow for up and down adjustment. That's the only real complait I have about mine.
I wish that I could lower them abotu two inches.

Fiwiki

Re:MAAP Challenger Tube Steps

Their is no adjustment for up and down no. It could be done by sloting some holes and using spacer shims in other I suppose. But the fit and location is perfect on mine, no need to adjust. I might have a chance to get some pictures of them tomarrow depending on the weather. If I do I will post them.
