Re:M11 Performance Turbo

I just looked into it. I have heard wonderful things about the Scotty II. Made me want one until some people started talking about how loud the whistle was.
Man my AFE (open) is very loud with the boost elbow. It screams now. Some say it is even worse when you
cut the hole. IS that true? Will it be louder than what I have now. By the way, Boost elbows come with the boxes you buy. They dont cost an extra 120.00
dollars. That has been asked to me before recently.

Again, the Scotty II sounds like an awesome product. ;D

The cowl hole is not as bad as some folks say. However, to each his own. The reat thing is you can put the insulation flap back over the hole when max EGT reduction is not required.

I have actually stood in on a few conversations with people saying the Scotty is loud and I even asked them if they have heard it or tried it...the answer was 'no'.
They had no clue who I was. I won't argue the point it is loud...if you want MAX egt reduction, the cowl hole and this design does it.

It also serves as a vacuum and keeps the glove box clean.

Re:M11 Performance Turbo

I would say in hush mode its definately quieter then the AFE megacannon I had definately! With the hole cut its about as loud maybe a tid bit louder then the megacannon but not much but I did notice a 100 degree reduction in EGT without the hole over the megacannon and about 250+ degree reduction over the megacannon with the hole!

Re:M11 Performance Turbo

..This is from someone that has run both systems..Scotty I and also the Scotty II..its not that bad! Running down the highway..you hear the turbo but not the Scotty..Where you will hear the system is when you are working your truck(pulling or racing) and it is pulling all that air into the motor.
As we all know that sometimes ladies(men too) have very sensitive ears to noise. When we are traveling and pulling our trailer my wife and kids can sleep, read or whatever and the sound does not bother them.
And yes your glovebox will be clean(just kidding)

Rick
