Oh, forgot to put in there, no plow package on my truck that I know of so I am assuming it will be similar to your truck mike.

Ugh. I hate trying to figure this stuff out. I see what you're saying though, makes sense. I guess the question is, would you be able to see the difference from front to rear?

Thats what I am wondering. Say it was a .25in low or even high for that matter can the eye really tell a .25in difference over a total length of 20ft? Probably not I guess, but I would rather have it .25 high then low. And thats if my truck is exactly like yours. I would think it would be hard to tell .25 inches over that distance but Im not sure?

Well, Dad got home from work and I talked him into taking some measurements for me. My truck shows 3.5in difference between the front and back of the truck. This is taking measurements from multiple places, tire to fender, ground to fender, and front of bed to ground vs back of bed to ground. So I think I will drop it a total of 3 inches and leave it a half an inch high.

This means I need a 1.75in block or close to it (2 or 1.5).

What do you guys think? Should I leave it .75in high or .25 in high? opinions?

Thanks for everyones help,
Alex

If you don't tow very much or real heavy, go for the 1/4.

I've been thinking of doing this myself, post some pictures whenever you're done.

Thats just it. I barely ever tow and don't often haul much. My truck is a little "spoiled." My truck is my daily driver and weekend racer. And I think this setup would look amazing with 3rd gen rims wrapped in 305/65R17 toyo proxes for the summer and 305 pro comp all terrains for the winter on my stock rims. I think I will go with the .25in. The cool thing is I think I can get these blocks for under $40 shipped. I think it should come out sweet. I will def post pics when I get her done.

I am wanting to do the same thing. I've been considering maybe a set of 2" AAL's and taking the rear block out all together.

I just ordered the 2 1/2" blocks off of Ebay. I will be around a 1/4"-3/8" high in the back.
Thanks for that link Alex. Those blocks are SWEET!! Same price as the junky ones also.

Cool, let me know when they come in and how you like them. Still talking with the guy, he said he could make me 5.5"x2.75"X1.5"tall. This would be the same dimensions as stock only 1.5" tall instead of 4.75".

I thought the 3in width would be too wide? I cant look under my truck(not around it) would 3" width work, I told him I needed 2.75"???? Can anybody verify if an extra 1/4" would fit as far as width goes??

Also does your truck have the camper package or plow package, because my truck needs only 1.5"ers to be .25" above level?

Keep in mind that some trucks have 2.5" springs and others (camper pkg) have 3" springs, IIRC.

I don't think that the eye can distinguish 3/4" or difference in the height, front to back.

Even after a "leveling kit" my truck is still a bit taller in the rear. I think this is because I have the camper pkg, with super stiff springs and I rarely tow or haul, so they are pretty much not fatigued at all.

You can't tell it by looking though-- you have to measure it.
