Lowering a dually
I have a 97 3500 dually that sits a lot higher in the back than the front. I have been thinking of moving the axle from under the springs to ontop but i think the rear will then be lower than the front. Does anyone make parts to drop the front and will flipping the axle work? thanks mikeb
Also i do use this truck to pull a trailer does anyone see anything that i am missing here?

I'd leave it. the rake built into the suspension is so that when the truck is loaded it sits level......which is the main purpose of a 1 ton dually to work. so engineering figures it'll spend more time working than not.
If you do more unloaded driving why not put a coil spacer in the front to level it out. cheap and easy.

i have a cut coil in the front of the truck (which really rides just fine) and a belltech shackle and hanger kit in the rear.. these parts are on my 2500 but they would fit a 3500 as well.. i think you can buy either a "flip kit" and do that (will lower 6-7") or buy a shackle hanger kit that will lower it 3-4" ... hope this helps
