lowering 2002 4X4 dually

What is the easiest (and cheapest) way to lower my truck about 2 inches. Are there any
kits out there or is a kit necessary? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

From www.kalecoauto.com

Budget Lowering Kit

Some people spend hundreds - even thousands merely to lower their car! Some people even cut their springs - that is the wrong way to lower a car! Why bother with different bolt sizes and components, when KaleCo's do-it-yourself lowering kit is a mere four piece kit! Installs in minutes, just insert one per tire and you'll be the envy of every lowrider in town! And best of all, it's only pennies on the dollar!
Not compatible with run-flat tires.

hmmm not much for those

but didnt they come with stock tire size of a 235/85/16? try goin to a 215 size ten ply, they arent even over 30 inches tall, and 235s are close to 32 i think... might be worth a shot..

Why on earth would you want to lower a 4 wheeler? Let alone a truck?

Buy a 4x2 it is a lot lower. Mine is. No fun offroad though, or in the snow, or in the mud, or in the rain, or on gravel, or in the sand. Uhhh but seriusly it sucks.

I don't want to lower mine, but I do feel that it is a little too tall from the factory.

Couldn't you just buy 2" shorter blocks and ubolts for the rear end which would level out your truck, just the opposite leveling that most people do.

And then look like a moron driving down the street when you actually are carrying something or towing something, with the front nose up in the air.. Ditto goes for the other leveling kit

Better check clearance between the solid front axle and the oil pan on the Cummins. If you get carried away with suspension mods and have bump stops in place to keep the axle out of the pan, you may not have a lot of suspension travel left.

Air bags to bring the back end back up.
