Low Fuel Pressure?????

I just installed the fuel pressure gauge for my jucie w/additude. I installed it between the fass and vp44, at the inlet to the pump. At a idle i have 10psi, and WOT 6-8. Did I do something wrong, is the fass bad or should I start looking for a new vp

I just changed the filters and water separator, still no more than 10pis ever. It dosent seem to rum out of fuel at the top end still with about 5 or 6psi. I think it should be higher but im not sure. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

10 psi is Ok, as long as you do not get below 5 psi at any driving conditions.
However, it is a strange number for a FASS.
I would suspect the sending unit and double check with a mechanical pressure gauge first. I have heard more than one report that the Attitude may have a problem with their FP sender.

I was talking to a friend and he said to pull out the ball and spring on the feed line to the pump and stretch it out. What will that do and can it help. Im going to go buy a mechanical gauge now and try. Thanks

I would not stretch the spring out until you verify that the pressure is in fact low. Stretching the spring will increase the pressure on the ball, causing it to stay closed until higher fuel pressure is reached, thereby increasing fuel pressure. The ball is on the pressure bypass. I have seen people report here that have done it on their systems.

Well, you will get what the pump is putting out I suppose. And most likely it will be the same at the electrical gauge on the Attitude. But if you mean, what you would like to have I would say, 15 at idle and 12-13 under load if you can. Most people feel that WOT or under load FP is more important and will go as high as 20-23 psi at idle just to keep WOT at 15 psi. In my opinion 15 at WOT / load is too much, 12 is good.

If the additude is wrong what options do i have. Does that mean that my fass pump is going bad. I hear that you can adjust the pressure on the fass. Does anyone know if that is true
