Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

I used a dyno up the road from me last time. It is super convenient to get on and dyno on. The guys are all great. We bascially use and operate the Dallas dyno ourselves now. Actually me and Mike did three injector changes on this dyno a month ago. Something like 20 plus runs on that morning. It was nuts. Those little injectors can get pretty crispy between runs and when you pull them dudes out to slap in another set, you best be wearing some good glooves

I made a few pulls on the dyno here in the 520-530HP range.
The Lewisville dyno and the newer one I am using close to me read within 1HP of each other. Very accurate. Mikes truck was showing the exact same numbers from one to another.

The charts you see above are from the Lewisville dyno. Its much easier for Mike to get over to it when compared to the Dallas dyno close to me. This keeps him out of the cruddy downtown traffic

If you get to Lewisville to dyno.... holler at me, I will try and run out and see you.

For a quick FYI: here are few dyno centers in your area. Forget about Hogans dyno shop. He sold that dyno to a place up the road from me. It is the killer big dynojet, but the guy had to install it above ground, so my truck wont fit on it....

Dunsworth Machine
701 North Independence
Enid 73701
Tel. 580-233-5812

Ed Wright Automotive
1114 W. 41st Street
Tulsa 74107
Tel. 918-446-3019
Website: http://www.fastchip.com

Hogan's Dyno Shop
9306 East 11th Street Unit E.
Tulsa, 74112
Tel. 918-834-5000

Powerhouse Performance
2831 S. Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

One more to your list, HP performance has a new load dyno that can do most anything, any weight, 1/4 mile runs ect.

Jim

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

don

nice charts but it seems with the old injectors you started the runs 200rpm later than your new injectors. that alone would make the difference's in power that you are showing.

jim

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

Hey jim,

In the real low rpm range that is a correct statement. By the time we get the rpms up to 1700 the runs are basically equal. Several folks have commented on this so I am getting the dyno guys to e-mail the runs over to me that start at the same rpm. The result are the same though after the turbo gets spooled up the multiholers run away from the honed nozzles in HP and TQ in the lower rpm bands. All this from an injector that flows less fuel than a normal stage three.

Don~

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

Don, are you saying that you are coming close to an injector with the power of a stage 3 and the smoke/fuel flow of a stage 2? out of curiosity, do these new puppies make the engine sound any different?

Doug,

The injector flows less than a conventional stage three nozzle. Smoke levels are lower than an average stage 3.

Don~
