It takes ALLLLOTT to impress me. If it doesn't add 200-300 hp I don't know if it will be worth it.

Don, how would they work, egt wise, with an HX40 towing around 14K. I'm especially interested because of the reduced smoke and soot in both oil and on the trailer.

Is their a comparison smoke wise to -- DD2s?, DD3?.
And, please supply a phone number or PM me if necessary.

Thank you!

Towtruck,

EGTS are lower on the gauge. Smoke is lower as well. The fuel charge is more completely burned earlier in the power stroke. This tends to lower manifold EGTS. Similar to bumping up the injection timing. The fuel burns faster and earlier. The faster it is converted from a liquid flow stream to a vapor, the more mass fraction of fuel you burn earlier. Testing has shown that while towing we are experiencing a lower EGT. Between 50-100 degrees.

Don~

Well actually it isn't, I'm going to pull mine and send it to him to all he can out of it sometime after the 1st fo the year. Al told me that I will not have fuel problems again, but my pump done like this is about half the fuel of a stupid pump and mine will be almost twice what it is now.

Jim

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts
Let me also add, the truck tested has the TST PM3 COMP. box and the exhaust is a 4 inch, straight piped, and big fuel lines. The low end gain with these injectors is amazing. Very noticable differance. On the highway, these things really want to go. 90 mph with very little pedal. Cruising EGT's at 70 mph where down from 800 to 700. At WOT the EGT's where also down 100-150 degrees. From what Ive experienced first hand, Don has got a very good product here.

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts
Eric,
I did glance up at the gauge when the box was off and it peaked at around 40 psi. while on the dyno. I never looked at it while driving with the box off. I was getting about 2-3psi more boost on the street than when dynoing though with the box on level 6. More of a load.
By the way, did Don talk to you about the B-1 exhaust housing size? Trying to figure out whats what.

Don!

Any reasonable testing of injectors should include an European test with extensive driving in the Austrian alps. ;D
Since I am an extremely nice guy I'd sacrifice my time and efforts to look into some testing. We do have different cetane ratings over here, the air is different etc.

AlpineRAM
