Low End TQ and HP charts

As some of you know we have been working on multi-hole injectors since last winter. I thought I might share some dyno chart data from this mornings dyno runs. The graphs in RED reflect our stage 3 injector and the BLUE is another brand of stage 3 injector. Our EGTS are down 100 degrees during cruising speeds. Smoke levels are lower as well. Opacity testing is still continuing, but the visual levels are about 30% lower. Particlates and soot are lower. NOx levels are about the same. This first chart is with no fueling box, a B-1 turbo and stock intake and exhaust manifolds.

Don~

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

This graph is with a TST box set on level 3. You can see the HP comes on much faster as well as the TQ.
These injectors will make a truck launch out of the hole like crazy and between shifts you can enjoy a faster recovery time. Drag racers should drop their ET time considerably. At 2100rpm the other injectors are at 800ft lbs and we are at 980ft lbs

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

Here is TST box on level 6. The TQ at 2000rpm is just over 200ft lbs higher. with less smoke.

Don~

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

This one is with the TST box on level 9. TQ at 1900rpm is almost 250ft lbs higher and the HP is 100HP higher at 2000rpm.
Auto tranny trucks will get over the top of the convertor faster. Top HP numbers are about the same but as mentioned earlier the flow rates of these injectors is less than a comparable stage 3. TQ was up in peak about 40 ft lbs.

Don~

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

We are still working out pricing. The target is going to be in the 800-1200 dollar range depending on power level. Any box will work just fine. Fuel mileage testing is showing an increase in my truck, but keeping my foot out of it is difficult

Testing continues.

A little more on the truck we used this morning:

99 5 speed 4x4 with a B-1 turbo, stock intake and exhaust manifolds, TST powerMax 3, an electric pusher pump and fuel pressure gauges, and straight exhaust.

Don~

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

Those are very interesting looking charts, Don. My question is why are the power increases not lasting throutghout the entire band when using a box, like they are without the box? Each step you've turned up the box, the curves get closer together on the down side. I don't get it.

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

When you say $8-1200 I'm assuming (although dangerous) that you mean for a full set of 6 injectors?

I did that last spring. ;D I do have some dyno charts, but nothing I can post. Using them in my 12 valve gave me a 70HP increase over stock 370 marines. It also lowered smoke and EGT. TQ was up about 140 or so. The low end power came on strong, very strong. An auto truck would love these injectors. We have 3 good sets for the 12 valve.

Don~

Don,
Any problems with breaking injectors, or do you cryo them or something similar?

Re:Low End TQ and HP charts

Yes, one injector tip broke and a few others were showing a problem at the microscopic level. We now put them through a three step process to deal with this trouble. Since we employed this...they are much much stronger. Cryo treating is not effective with this type of alloy in this type of application.

Don~
