Love my Edge Comp Drag

WOW! Installed the Comp Drag last night and what a difference! I had no idea a "box" by itself could add so much dang power. I need to get a downpipe and exhaust before I do anything else. EGTs are a little high and quick to get there. The FP is pulling down to about 5-6 at WOT. I'll probably install the BD fuel setup before too long (cheaper).

Just thought I'd add my .02 and say the Comp Drag is the FUNK!

If you don't have gauges, you need to have them next on your
Stuff-I Really-Gotta-Have list.
Especially EGT & Fuel Pressure.
ask DieselDude4X4 how important monitoring EGTs are.

Melted aluminum pistons aren't a pretty sight.

Anyone know the HP rating on the DRAG Comp?

I know the TST PM3 COMP is listed at 180 hp and causes some surging problems by calling for more than the VP44 can deliver (at higher settings).

Does the Drag Comp have any similar problems?

I don't know what the drag comp is rated for, but it was good for 164hp on my truck. This was a back to back run with the box off and then set on kill.

Edge claims 150 and I think from what I have read its pretty close to that.
I will be having my Comp reflashed in Sept and we will see.

To use it fully...you'll need a new clutch and a bigger turbo. Both can be done at a later date, if you run the comp on lower settings.

I got straight pipe 4" I think... NO cats, NO muffler

I guess I need to get 4" downpipe???

I just put in a dodge fatory clutch , and as far as TURBO I'm not ready for that...

Unless it is a must have???

RJ.. the Drag version really isn't rate for much more HP.. some seem to think that it fuels a little stronger... at the Dyno Day in DFW a few weeks ago... Hunter ran 2 passes with his Comp box.. and the third with my Drag version... it only made about 4-5 more HP.. but the torque curve was longer because it didn't defuel as early... it also seemed to make 40 more HP earlier in the run... (not peak hp) but I don't know if this was the box.. or just the way he did that run... I have let a few other run it.. and they all seem to think that its a little hotter.. weather that's just in the mind or the box... Of course.. I've never tried the standard version.. but I should.. I have a spare sitting here...

G-Note... RJ's probably right on the clutch since you have a 6sp.. not sure what they put in there.. but the stock 6sp clutches are a little weak... Turbo... well.. to get the most out of the box.. yes.. but it can wait... I have the Comp and DDIII's (100hp) and still the stock turbo..
