Loose driver side shock (rancho 9k)
I went and had my tires rotated about 3 weeks ago, and not too long afterward I noticed a bumping feeling under my left foot. It only happens at low speeds on a rough road.
I checked my shocks, and my drivers side I can wiggle it by hand. I tried tightening up the mounting bolts, but they were super tight. I noticed all the movement is coming from the lower mount. It seems like the bushing is bad, or doesnt fit snug anymore.
Has this happened to anyone? Im off thursday, so im going to take itout, and look at it.
BTW, looking at the dial, at what point is the setting determined? I assumed it is straight up.
later,,phillip

Yep, more times than I care to remember. Not just rancho but Procrap, I mean pro comp and others with the urethane bushings. Some good AP stores will have replacements if not you can get new ones from Rancho.

I've seen posts in several places that a bunch of those Ranchos escaped the factory with the wrong size bushings. You might just call the place you bought them and/or Rancho to see about getting the right ones.

I am hearing that same kind of noise with stock shocks. One of my friends said that he had the same problem and it was the bolt at the bottom of the shock. He said that it had loosened up and had wear on it, there was not way to tighten it to prevent the noise. He got new bolts and the problem was fixed.
