I am right at the 350 plus HP mark in mine and have had no complaints. I may be proven wrong on this model of pump, but with a 2 year parts and labor warranty. Mods and mileage don't matter, how can you go wrong and when it finally does die if it's after warranty he will rebuild it, to include any updates he has made on the pumps since your was built. The price he gave me for a rebuild was if everything has to be replaced, he does not charge for parts that are still within specs. If he honors this warranty as stated, and I have no reason to beleive that he wouldn't, he has been in business for a long time, it seems to me that as a small business man he has set himself up to lose. But who am I to point out his faults. I just don't see where you can go wrong with this pump. It's a no lose situation.

I see your point, though if I were in your shoes I would buy as spare pump as you can't always predict when it is going to fail. When it does you maybe in a remote location and not always have the time to wait for it to be shipped and repaired. I hope you do get at least two years out of the pump. Keep in mind the higher you go in hp the harder it is on pump life.

I'm suprised they'll sell you one. Back when they were the better mouse trap for lift pump issues they got to where they would not sell their pumps to diesel owners because of so many returns for warranty work, maybe they got it worked out

He has made several improvements over the years, that's part of the deal if you return it for rebuild or repair he includes the updates. The first pump I had didn't make more than a few hundred miles before I started having problems, when I sent it back there was no questions asked. They new there was problems and they thought they had em fixed on the new ones. They must be right or I got awfull lucky because the replecement was flawless. His focus is on the race industry, this is just a sideline so his technology I would assume is ever evolving to meet the newest needs. I'm really not trying to convince anybody that this is the way to go, just putting my experiences out there to give people one more option. I guess I'l be a better judge if the next one works as good as the first.

Well good luck to you on the new pump, you are the first I have heard of that has claimed of getting 100,000 miles with a PE4200.
One thing I have noticed with electric pumps is that they flow a lot less volume the higher the pressures. Meaning that the 100 gph probably isn't rated at 16-19 psi but rather an open port rate.

should take a look into the FASS 2 pumps.... they are awsome i have the 180GPH pump and i have almost put 50k on it since i first purchased it and it runs like a charm.. the pump seems to run quieter at 18PSI then 20PSI which is where i had it set previous. now the pump sounds so quiet except on first initial prime that i bearly notice that i have it back there sometimes.. i just wish they were a lot cheaper cause i would purchase one for my SVO setup that im working on as of now.

I'm all for the FASS set up, but not at those prices. As good as it is, for me, it's not that much better.

I like the holley pumps. I've been running a blue for 2 years now and even at 370hp I can only drag it down to 11psi. My roommate is running my old holley black and it's been going strong for 4 years now and it's putting out 20psi. I also like the fact that you can pick a holley up at almost any auto parts store, they only cost about $120, and you can rebuild them for $20.

Finally crawled under the truck tonight and fiddled with this pump. It's been working off and on, wiggled the wires around on the hot and it pops right on. Somehow under the heat shrink and through the solder it has managed a short. So in the end the pump is still running and working fine, just need to work on my wiring abilities. guess I'll get 100,000 plus out a this junk pump.

" I would be very surprised if any of the electric pumps would last 100k in a 350+hp truck without having to use a warrantee numerous times."

I challenge someone to put a high pressure Bosch or Walbro pump in their truck. At 20 PSI, it will outlast the truck.

I started modding my truck right on the money at 50,000 when my warranty was up and this high pressure system was the first thing I did. I'm sittin at 149,000plus right now. The first pump I got withis system went to pot within the first few months made a phone call and the replacement was on the way. It's been there since. There were problems when PE introduced these pumps, but just like the VP pumps there have been alot of improvements made since then. You have done your homework and I wouldn't doubt any of your findings but these pumps designes are ever evolving just like everything else. Just because a product like this was good or bad in the past doesn't mean that in the future the same will hold true.
