Smile Looking for advice on upgrades

Hello all I have a !999 24V cummins and would like to put exhaust, intake, and chip for a little more power. I found a web site called RPM Outlet. This sight had a kit for $750 dollars it came with 4" monster exhaust, stage 2 KNN kit,and a power puck fuel mod. They are saying this kit will give you 150 hp. and 300 FTP tourqe.
I would appriciate any advice or insite on this subject or if there is something else I may need please let me know. thanks

The Puck adds about 60hp and 150lb-ft.

The K&N flows well and filters poorly.

4" exhaust is nice but not needed at that power level. Is this a Bank$ monster exhaust?

The price is fair for what you get, but it's not the best combo.

Man there are so many different choices out there............it just all depends on what you want horsepower wise and what you do with you truck.

If you're looking for chips..........check out some of the DTR sponsors, they have everything under the sun and have great prices. They have Edge products, TST, bullydog,..........and the list goes on.

They setup you described for $750 isn't a bad deal, but trust me once you start playing with your truck you are always going to want more. So really sit down and think about what you plan on getting out of it and go from there. Check different suppliers and ask lots of questions.

Also do you have an automatic of a 5 speed...........performance add ons are really limited if you have a stock auto tranny. They don't hold up to much power above stock.

Oh really as of right now you don't need to get exhaust. Your stock system will flow just fine until you start getting a lot higher in HP.

If you want probably the best bang for you buck, get the SMARTY. It's a new product out and everybody is extremely pleased with it. Really wakes up the truck and has a butt load of options in it.

Do some seaching on it and you'll find out all kinds of info......but that'd be a wise purchase to get!!

Yeah AFE is one of the most popular.......expensive but popular. Other guys are running a Scotty air system......he's a member on here and you can find those in the DTR store on this site.

Other guys are using there stock hose and just getting a massive filter used on Semi's and they seem to really like it.

I'm running an AEM and it works awesome for me and was reasonably priced. But I'd stay away from K&N especially on these trucks.

Those are some nice trucks on your site. What is that spring thing that runs down the side of the turbo? Is that something to do with the waist gate?

Why thanks man, I appreciate that!!

Yeah that spring is ( or was, I took it off ) to my wastegate to keep it from opening as easy. I now have it completely disabled so I can get more boost. With the wastegate functioning I only got 20psi and now I get around 34 to 35psi
