Long life clutch with feathering ability?
Hello,
My dads truck is an 01 5spd 4x4 with flatbed and feeder on it probably weighs 10,000. First aftermarket clutch was a single disk southbend lasted probably 4 years, that wasn't so bad. Last clutch was some off breed that the local mechanic recomended, i don't know what brand but i do know it was feramic. Anyways it last maybe a year and a half. What im asking is a recomendation for a clutch that has good holding power but has good feathering. He uses the truck to feed cows. Its constantly going forward to backward and inching here or there. This last clutch wasn't for crap for feathering. It was on or off not much in between. I'm wondering if a dual disc for a nv 4500 would be any good. Need something that you could back easily not on or off grabbing or jerking. any recomend would be great. O and the only thing done to his truck is a superchip. and he pulls a trailer ocasionally. thanks

ditto on peter at SB. I have grown out of the ofe to a FE and now Double disk 3600 and can tell you its a smooth pedal and I can actually back up with out jerking and chipping away at gravel. call peter. top notch. when I said grew out that is due to adding more and more fuel and sutch as the truck was bombed.
