Locking Tonneau Covers question

I am looking to buy a locking Tonneau cover, Ive seen a few of them on the market (pace edward) but just wanted to find out what everyone was using and how it works, how much it costs, how well does it lock?

Thanks

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

I've got the Mopar hard tonneau and love it. It locks up tight, doesn't leak, a little pricey but worth it. Had it just over a year now and zero problems.

I've got the pace edwards and it works great. Make sure you get a poplock for the tailgate to lock that too.

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

I was thinking of getting a tonneau cover for my wifes Dakota, does anyone have this one? If so, do they work ok?http://paceedwards.com/bedlocker.asp

This is also pretty nice, I might have to get one for my Ram.http://paceedwards.com/powergate.asp

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

I used the Pace Edwards electric tailgate lock on my Dakota before got my Ram. It worked flawlessly for the 3 years I had it. Just wire it into the power door locks and forget about it. Awesome product.
I would use one on my Ram, but the hard tonneau locks to the tailgate and there is no way to open it when the lid is locked.

I have a Lund.......like it a lot. Comes off very easily too. The locking mechanism is pretty good as well - of course, no locking mechanism will stop someone that really wants to break in.

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

Mine pulls off in less than 5 minutes (I think they all are relatively easy to remove).

Have you ever seen the retractable hard tonneau covers??? They work pretty slick with a fiver....http://www.rollnlock.com/

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

Yes, I have seen both the Pace edwards and Roll-n-lock, I was hope for some more suggestions. As for one piece covers or caps, I don't have the room to store them, also I still want to be able to open a portion of the cover if we were to purchase some thing large a local store, you know something that you did not plan on buying.

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

KC,

I bought an "Advance Cover" from these folks:
http://www.kcovers.com/

Even though I had to do some "mods" to install it, I'm pretty satisfied with the cover. You can fold it forward (for 5th wheel ?) or can take it off easily by removing 2 screws. Hopefully, a picture will attach.

Re:Locking Tonneau Covers question

I have a pace edwards roll tonneau. Would never ever be without it. I am in construction so tracks are full of crap and it still works good. Locks part way, rolls outa the way for the 5th wheel, hides everything. Paid 800 bucks. HTH
