Locker for rearend

I have a Dana 70 with 3.54 gears, and I have a Detroit locker. IIRC the problem is with the Dana 80 and the 3.54 gears. I am surprised that a 01 2500 had a Dana 80, though...

from 94-02 any manual transmission or dually truck got the 80. the only trucks with 70's were the 2500 or SRW (same thing) automatics

Ox does not make a diff for the Dana 80. They do for the 60, but that is as large as they make them. Good for the front end though.
Eaton does not make a e-locker for the Dana 80 either which is too bad. ARB, Detroit and Powertrax are pretty much the only makers that will fit a 80. You can get a Dana Powerlok HD 70, more aggresive and stronger than the Traclok, and redrill it to fit a 80 rear. Not a bad arrangement with good street manners. If you want even more lockup with the Powerlok, play with the clutch packs.

So whose truck is the one in the avaitar? Also, I think if you rebuild and restack the factory limited slip you will get good results. It won't be a locker but close.

That's my experience with them. Don't know if it's any different with the other models for different axles, but I've never really heard anyone say they were very happy with theirs, just stories about them either being finicky but still working or just downright not working at all.
Personally, I will stick with the tried and true in my Jeep, spool in the back, detroit in the front. Neither has ever let me down.

I'm pretty sure they make one, there's one in my truck
I love it, it barks the tires while cornering, and chews 'em up real good, but it pulls!!
