Local shop said ISSPRO gagues are junk
First of all, I had no idea my area had a local diesel performance shop. So, after class I went over there and browsed the store. A guy there asked me later on if I had any questions and I asked if they he had pricing on Isspro gauges. He said they only had a few left, and the ones he had weren't what I wanted. He told me they were junk and they quit handling them. I have never heard a complaint from anyone here, and figured he just didn't know what he was talking about. He also said that the bulbs are really hard to come by to replace.
Has anyone here had problems with Isspro gauges?
I ask these questions because I am getting ready to purchase gauges pretty soon and wanted to make sure this guy was just running his mouth. I really like the looks of the EV series.

Love my Isspro black faced EV's. I have had no problems at all with them. In fact the ISSPRO rep I talked with exchanged my old white faced ones b/c they didn't illuminate properly. The black faced EV match the OEM layout very well.
Go with ISSPRO they are good stuff.

Isspro makes good quality gauges - we can argue that point all day but many people here have them and are very happy with them.....I have no idea about the bulb replacement issue......others can chime in on that, I'm sure.......I prefer Autometer Sport Comp gauges - I have had dozens of them over the years and they proven to be very reliable for me and I much prefer their looks.

3 plus years, no complaints.
Accurate, super easy to read day or night.
Still on all original bulbs.
I'm sure his profit margin is much better on his "prefered" brand of gauges.
click on the Isspro gauges in my sig to see my setup.
PS If he really hates them that much, tell him to sell 'em to you at 50% off to 'get rid of them'.

Junk alright....
What did he recommend? Let me guess....he had LOTS of his favorites on hand.
Isspro are NOT junk - they happen to be one of the best line of guages on the market (the EV series). Isspro has been making guages for over 50 YEARS (longer than autometer), and have been used in over the road trucks and many other diesel applications for a long time.

Buy an ISSPRO guage and then contact them for a warranty issue. You will be blown away by their service!!
I have contacted them a few times on issues only to have new product show up in the mail a few days later free of charge, no questions asked.
If ISSPRO guages are junk, then I will always own junk.

Buy the isspro's and dont think twice about it. I love my white faced(blue numbers/letters) EV Isspro gauges. They light up great, and have worked flawlessley for about 1.5 years. You can buy bulbs, and covers from www.dieselmanor.com which is where i ordered my gauges. You can always buy bulbs. Sounds like hes just running his lip. I like my autometer transmission temp gauge ok, but it doesent light up quite as well as my isspros, and i think they look a little better Its all opinion. I think Autometer, and Isspro both make great gauges.
