Little bit of antifreeze in blow by bottle
I've decided to change my oil myself instead of dealer. I've changed it twice and have never emptied the blow by bottle. Today I emptied the bottle and a little bit of antifreeze came out with the oil! Is this normal? If it is how can it happen. My truck has 40,000 miles on it, does it already have problems?

Im a 12V guy, I dont have a blow by bottle, Mine just blows by all over the ground But the function of the blow by is to catch oil only, and antifreeze is not supposed to be where oil is so Id say you have yourself a problem. Could be a blown headgasket or something worse off. How does your oil look? if its creamy looking or not Id have a sample done by blackstone labs or someone equivelent.

There was another fellow here who had the same problem.
After worrying himself to near death he finally figured out it was just Simple Green cleaner that made it's way into the bottle.
Hope you are that lucky also.

I guess my heart is ok!!! I forgot I put a degreaser on the radiator and the front of the engine, also puke bottle before my last trip! The crap in the bottle is the same stuff I used! Thanks for the input. Next time I ask a question someone should ask me what was the last thing I did to my truck, it might stir up my memory It's the pits to waste a good brain!

The blow by bottle is off the gearbox cover and there is really difficult to get green antifreeze in that part of the engine. If its mixed into the oil that a different story but it wouldn't be green. There are holes at the top of the bottle and my guess is that you might have got the antifreeze in that way.
