From: My head lays down in Murrieta, but the day light hours are spent in San Diego, Ca.
Oh yeah. First weekend out in Glamis will be 10/26,27 and 28. Then we go every two weeks. Well, our group goes every two weeks; everybody just comes and goes depending on other comitments.
We always camp on the west side of the dunes on one of the Gecko Loops.
You heading over from Az for some weekends?

So whats wrong with the factory water to air units on 6BTAs? I understand the low boost not cooling problem. But its the cats meow on an industrial B series that gets no air flow. Should be just as good for sledpulling? No? High boost low air flow.......

Demon- would it fit on our trucks??
I really liked this idea for chemical intercooling: Co2.
http://www.cryofuzion.com/
Now that is some cool stuff there. You can put an interfreezer on the intake line to cool with co2:
then turn around and send the co2 to the tailpipe to create a vacuum to pull exhaust out
Or spray in in front of the next guys intake
I'm sorry that last one is just wrong

The marine spec B series are for the most part aftercooled too as far as I know.
for size I looked up the QSB5.9 Quantum series which is common rail turbocharged and aftercooled.
High output intermitent service at the 480hp spec is
940 ft-lbs @ 2200rpm
34.6" tall (pan to hat)
32.9" wide not including exhaust man.....
1350 lbs marine spec weight.
So I'm sure you could rob any age of marine spec engine to out fit any B in a truck. I know the 12valve aftercooler doesn't make the engine too much taller, maybe a few inches. I can't find any good pics of them and I can't really describe it....you know a picture is a 1000 words. the whole cover on the head comes off and the aftercooler sits the whole length of the head. over the intake port.

I love my liquid to air setup.
ALL we changed in my setup was the addition of the liquid to air intercooler and a custom built plenum to work with it.
Spoolup is much improved especially on HOT days.
