Lindstad Track Bar?
Has anyone given this option a try? I never heard of them until mentioning my loose track bar to Greg at great lakes diesel works, he said the only bad thing is since it is a steel cup it makes a loud clunk when in need of adjustment. He said he had installed them for several people, one guy had over 30k and hasn't needed to adjust his yet. I have a decent MIG welder but I am debating if I can get a good enough weld on there that'd hold the grease in with no issue, on the first try!

Pretty much the same thing as a Luke's Link, except it requires welding. I know the LL has had mixed results on track bars.
You have nothing to lose except $62 + S/H, I'd say give it a shot.

Yes, the mixed results on the LL is what made me not consider it very seriously. I've found probably a dozen people say good things about the Lindstad, no bad things other than when it needs adjustment it has a rather loud clunk. The Lindstad is a metal cup rather than the Lukes which is a nylon cup, this metal cup should keep wear down to an absolute minimum.

The guy who told me about them went, well I'd sell you one of mine but I plan on using them for my trucks so... here is the instructions with ordering information on it if you're interested.
I know, we can find a few more people and do group buy, get the 6+ discount!

Well as kind of an update here I've had it installed for a little while now and it seems to be working excellent. I verified today that I no longer have any play in the track bar (wanted to make sure I had it adjusted right!). I welded on the Lindstad end and bought a new Energy Suspension polyurethane track bar kit from Summit racing to replace the factory boot and the cracked up factory rubber bushing with superior polyurethane ones.
Going to get a DSS next, removing the play from the track bar didn't seem to help the steering any if at all. But I feel better knowing that I only spent 70 bucks and have a lifetime track bar.
