2" lift with 35"s or 5" with 37"s

Either looks good, but 37 is getting pretty tall for working out of. Which is what I use my truck for, so for me more than 37s makes the truck to much of a pain...

I rubbed 36's bad with 5". I can still rub my 37's with 6" and the axle moved forward about 3/4".

How much are you willing to spend?

All Depends on the budget

Before I parked the Skyjacker lift under mine, I just had a pair of Daystar coil spacers on the front. I was able to put 35's on it and it only rubbed a little at full lock-up. (the 35's are mounted on some Eagle 10 x 16" rims)

I had 5" and 35"s on mine and it was very useable and looked good. It was a 5" Superlift and I had no issues at all with rubbing.

My Opinions

Depending on what you want to spend look at these two, Whiplash Suspension and Kelderman Air Ride. Google them I think they both have web sites. I have eagle alloy 186's which have bigger holes than the bajas, 186's are a Mickey Thompson classic two clone(look in my gallery). This is just my opinion but I think these are the best looking wheels on the market. If I had my choice on tires I would get Mickey Thompson Baja Claw radials but they are pricey. I also love Super Swamper Boggers but they cost ALOT and you only get about 10,000 to 15,000 miles out of them. What do you use your truck for, just driving or pulling?

I got a set of 2 in coil spacers off ebay for $50. I have 18x9.5's with 325/65/18's. I love it and get alot of compliments. Just my opinion but I have never been too fond of huge lifted trucks with little tires on. I like full wheel wells.

Their spring systems for solid axle trucks are not to bad, but their IFS systems kinda suck!!!

Heard their Dodge stuff was particularly scary. Do a search on Whiplash over at pavementsucks.com, they're pretty much universally hated over there.

I chose the KORE CHASE and 3rd gen wheels with 37x12.5x17 GY MTR's. I only rub on hard turns to left or right, like in parking lots, but not a big deal. Shortbed vs Longbed will make a difference there.

Overall height is just right, not too high of lift, great road manners, and 37 E rated tires to boot.

lifts?

i have a 97 dodge ram 2500 totally stock. Im looking for a nice size lift to put on it. i dont want anything to huge but nothing small. any suggestions? if so it would help me out alot. i was thinking of running 36" or 37" tires under it, so what would be a better lift? body, suspension, or a little of both? and what company?
