Lift questions(rear sway bar, etc)?
Ok, I am definitely scratching my head trying to figure out what to do
I have a set 315/75R16 Pro Comp Mud Terrains sitting in my garage
I am trying to figure out what is the best way to get them on there.
Options:
A. Coil spacers(can be had for $50 on Ebay)
B. Skyjacker D25 coils($157 from Summit Racing)
C. 3" Lift kit
As for C, I can get the Tuff County 3" kit with shocks for $467 from JCWhitney
The other 3" kit I've found is BDS. I will have to call the local 4x4 place here in town and see how much it is. I like this kit, because it is 3" spacer in the front and 1" taller block in the back.
The Tuff Country kit is 2" back, which will definitely make the *** end high up, like stock. And the Tuff Country uses an add a leaf. Really don't want an add leaf, because this thing is already stiffer then hell and has plenty of leafs(has camper pkg).
Ok, my other question is about the rear sway bar. What happens when you lift the back? Remove sway bar? Extended or extend them yourself links for the rear mount, or what?
Going to run stock rims till the end of this coming winter. Then, I'm think 16x8 s with 4.25" back spacing.
Seen a few trucks with the 3" and it seems to look a lot nicer then just the leveling.
But, any opinions are welcome.

Spacers retain the feel of the front suspension.
Replacement coils won't, unless you get custom ones.
Not familiar with BDS, but the 4.5" Skyjacker I have uses a AAL in the back,
and yes, it is stiffer than (insert something stiff here).
Nothing was done with my rear sway bar, it just drooped lower until I removed it completely.
Front sway bar got extension brackets, till I removed it as well,
but for 3" you shouldn't have to do anything with it.
If I was to do it over again, I'd get custom coils.
I had the spacers, but needed more to stop the rubbing since I had 10" wide rims.

I would suggest leaf lift in the back... I personally think they have to much in the way of blocks already...
I would look at the different lifts out there, and get one with new front coils, and either add-a-leafs, or new rear springs. The new rear springs should give you a better ride than just adding a leaf...

Don't do it on my say so...
But I had an off-road shop tell me that stock length would be plenty long enough. At the time I was wanting to get the D25s, and their reccomendation was to reuse the shocks I have.
I trust the shop, but it is not my personal experience, so take it for what it's worth.
