leveling kits

I want to put a leveling kit on my truck.Has anyone had any experience with any of the kits sold on ebay? Or is abetter alternative to spend the extra $$ for coils like D25s? Will I need an adjustable track bar? I am not sure about shipping up here to Canada on a heavy item like a Thuren track bar any other Canadian members with experience on this would be great

i have a rubber 2.5 inch spacer for my leveling kit. it does okay. i have the stock steering etc. still. spring i have heard make the ride a little better but for a larger price. i think all the spacers are allmost alike. they all do the same! some are metal. some rubber, etc. i know you will want to get extended link arms to run 315`s on your truck. dt profab has i think the best deal on them. lorenze has a kit with springs and everyting else to go along with it! if you want to go that way..its ALL ON WHAT YOU WANT TO SPEND.

do you off road at all. or are you just wanting it level for looks?

I do spend quite a bit of time in the bush.I plan to run 285s.I mostly just get rid of the nose down look.I have 265s on now but I must admit I like the look of the bigger skins.

I've been running a metal set off ebay for two years now. Welds all looked good when I put them on. No issues as of yet. I actually thought the truck handled a little better (steering felt lighter) due to get some of the weight off the front end.

I put on the 2' rev-tek blocks on the front of my truck with the factory arms, handles near identical just have to adjust the drag link to center your steering wheel again. The only thing to note is with factory wheels and 35x12.5's it rubs abit on my mud flaps only cause there not super tight to the wheel well, also rubbs control arm if you go passed 1.5 turns (from center) on the steering wheel

I had 285s on my 99 dodge and they would rub on turns so I first put a 1 inch leveling kit from ebay worked great.
2 yrs later I wanted just a different look so I put a 2 in leveling kit from ebay (hell bent steel) great quality and worked perfect and put a 1 in in the rear.
6 months later I wanted new tires and opted for 35 toyo mt, they would not fit properly so I lifted with a 4.5 tuff country kit, Ride is still not right (rough and wanders) have lukes link and 3 alignments and I kinda miss just the 2 in lift, hard to go back once you spend 3,000 in wheels, tires and lift right.
I did not have any problems with the 2 in leveling kit with steering or trac bar and the 285 fit nice. I would highly recommend it, would not recomend any higher

Just installed a set I bought of E-bay. 89 bucks, 4wheelfabrication.

Looks great, and in my opinion, everything feels "better".
Had to drop the stabilizer and pull the bolts out of the upper rails to get the extra 1/2 inch. (hernia)

Steering stabilizer don't rub no more. added bonus.

You might take a look at some of the 295/75/16 tires, 34" tall, but not much wider than the 285's
